Buying folk art paintings has become one of my passions. I have been searching everywhere it appears. I found a bunch of folk art paintings recently and I'm having a hard time deciding which one to buy.
There was a folk art painting by Rev. Howard Finster is called Howard in 1944. This is an enamel paint all popular art that was painted in 1988. The smile on this portrait is very engaging and makes me smile just as big.You can buy these paintings and present it as a gift.
I am also really taken by a folk art painting that was painted by painter Bill Dodge in October 1962. The title of the painting is first Trolley To Van Nuys. The painting is on board and is the center of the city with all the people of the city. They are in windows and on the street. The town market, bakery, the Hotel Van Nuys, an ice cream parlor and the Wing Lee Laundry are all depicted in vivid colors. Women are at the forefront against the truck and signs saying "Ban the Monster" and "Keep Van Nuys in rural areas".
Thomas Chambers is one of the folk artists in America first. I found a piece by him that I do not like. It is a bit austere for my taste. The subject is a scene of fishing villages and boats. I do not think I'm going to buy this painting folk art because I do not like it.
He was a folk art painting I've found called Alligator Fisher which was painted in 1940 that I truly love. The blue bayou is very quiet and the trees give a feel very south. There is a house in the swamp of painting and I like this a lot. It reminds me very much of Louisiana.
My mother started this passion for painting folk art. She was a folk art painting by John Roeder in our living room to grow. I used to spend hours just watching it. The trees were so relaxing to lose myself in. I asked him for giving me this wonderful folk art painting many times, but she says I'll have to wait until after his funeral!
I found a folk art painting on my trip that I felt sad every time I looked. The name of the painting is a letter from my mother. The look in the face of the girl is so serious and sad. I have no idea where this folk art painting should hang. The painting itself is beautiful, it just makes me feel sad.
There is a subset of folk art paintings that represent black Americana. I'm not used to buy one of these pieces as they do not talk about my experiences. I have not found one piece I bought for a collector friend of mine who loves this type of art. Painting folk art was a fantastic atmosphere to it and a woman relaxing in a hammock. It hung in his lane and he now loved her long ago.
My brother likes folk art paintings as much as I do. He prefers animals to be the subjects of paintings he bought. I found a beautiful painting of clouded leopard folk art for him last Christmas and asked that I keep my eyes open for more like him. He said he will buy any art I feel for him because he hoped that I know and understand his tastes.
I kept my eyes open for animals on the theme of folk art paintings for my brother, but I can not find any as beautiful as a leopard that I got for him. The official measure of paintings on the theme of animal art folk I found recently was a painting of two owls on a limb and I know he would not be that. Since we were kids, owls completely panic.
